Larry Carter - Lead Pastor

Pastor Carter is the Lead Pastor of Hampton Heights Baptist church. He has been in ministry for 36 years; having served the Lord as a pastor, church planter, and as a missionary under the IMB. For the past several years he has severed as an Intentional Interim Pastor helping churches go through a process of self-discovery. His desire is to help people (both in the church and without) discover their need for an intimate dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.

Phillip Jewell - Minister to Students

Phillip has been at Hampton Heights since 2006. Phillip and his wife Caroline have four children; Grayson, Micah, Adelyn, and Koen.

Ashley McConaghy - Director of Children's Ministry

Ashley McConaghy has been a member of Hampton Heights for 15 years and she has been blessed with many opportunities to serve the children and the Lord throughout her time with us. She is married to Marcus and together they have three boys: Marc, Price, and Wynn. Ashley has taught in many facets, including performing arts and within the public school system.

Teresa Crumley - Music Assistant

Teresa Crumley has been married to Dean for 25 years. They have two children, Chris and Chelsey. Teresa graduated from Anderson College in 1979 with an associate degree in music and Baptist College at Charleston in 1982 with a bachelor's degree in Music Therapy. She has worked in church music for 26 years. She has a passion for music and worship. She currently leads the Celebration Choir at Hampton Heights.

Missy Edwards - Counselor (LISW)

Missy has been on staff at HHBC as a counselor for 13 years. Since the counseling center’s beginning 13 years ago, she has been privileged to provide Christ-centered, biblically based counsel that integrates healthy physiological models with faith in a holy God of grace. She has been married to Ron for 40 years. They treasure time with their two children and their spouses as well as always enjoying time with their grandchildren.

Ashley Bischoff - Counselor (LPC)

Ashley has worked as a counselor in both inpatient and outpatient settings since 2002 and she has been on staff at HHBC since 2003. It is her passion to provide grace-centered, integrative Christian counseling for individuals and families. Ashley is married with three precious children.

Peggy Dacus - Office Manager

Peggy has been at Hampton Heights as Office Manager & Financial Secretary since 1981. Peggy and her husband Steve have two children, Ty & Stephanie.

Dawna Uchtmann - Administrative Assistant

Dawna Uchtmann has been a staff member of Hampton Heights since June 2009. Previously she taught elementary school in the public school system both here and in California. She is married to Paul and together they have five children.

Troy Foster - Custodian

Troy has been working at HHBC for 23 years and enjoys being part of what is going on. Troy is the proud father of four children. In his spare time he likes to watch or play basketball & football.
